What have we caught lately?

Pere Marquette River Fishing Report
With the recent warm up, the shore ice has melted and opened up the lower boat launches. Fishing has been good and should only get better. The next two to three weeks will be the best on the lower river. Float fishing with beads has produced the best for me. We have taken most of our fish with 10 mm beads in natural colors but a few coming on brighter colors as well. Jigs and waxies will still catch some fish but stone flies and egg patterns should get you some action too.
Big Manistee River Fishing Report
Fishing remains steady with most of the fish still holding in winter water patterns. Try the slow deeper water and fish it hard. The majority of our bites have been 20 plus drifts in a spot before we might get a couple. I got some fish using 12 mm bead in natural colors, while Steph got a few with 8 mm bead in chartreuse. Jigs and waxies are a go to right now but nymphs and egg patterns will work too.
Muskegon River Fishing Report
The water level and temperature are starting to creep up and some fishing should be moving up with it. The upper stretch of the river below Croton Dam should fish good with the warm up. Jigs and waxies along with 8mm beads will get you some bobber drops. Stone flies, egg patterns, caddis, and wolley buggers are all good choices this time of year.
Grand River Fishing Report
With the weather warming, the snow is melting – if not gone in most of southern Michigan. It has the Grand on the rise but with that there is a lot of debris and ice coming down river. The rising water has some of the fall/winter fish moving up and spring fish should be a few days to a week behind. The water level looks like it is leveling off and as soon as it clears up a little, it should fish good. Don’t miss out on the action that the Grand River offers!

We primarily float fish with big beads or spawn on the Grand but big and try 12mm and 14mm bright beads when it is dirty. Bottom bouncing yarn or wobble glows will produce too.
Zach still has a few days open for the beginning of April and I have a few at the end of the month and into May so don't wait too long to book your trip to catch your next trophy fish!
